holy fuxxx

so it's late, i am tired after working 7-5.30, sitting on the pike headed into the city for an hour in gridlock, meeting up with e$ to try on some discount designer gowns at vow's in watertown, and meeting up with tcitb crew for beers and chow at paddy-o's. but this post must be made.

i was so ready to buy the amazing dress i tried on in nashua, the one 2 posts below. but i figured with a year to go, it would be premature to not try on a few more dresses (why? because how else could i torture myself with more to stress about?). so tonight i tried on this amazing dress; it was sandy ivory colored, looked great with my hair and the whole beach/barefoot idea. it was extremely "me"; different, kind of boho-artsy, relaxed, natural - somehow just very organic...it was light, comfortable, and elegant. here's cell phone pix of the front view:

which is in a different color and has a huge ghey bow, which i would not have, natch.
so this place works like this: they have what they have, in the size there, and you buy it before someone else does. they alter, but you can't be all "omg i love this, can i get another size, or what about that thing you had last week." what's there is there; life moves on. this thing zipped up on me perfectly and was like it was made for me; very little would need to be changed.

are you wondering why i didn't put down a deposit already and why i'm going on and on about it? because it's motherfucking $1650, that's why.

sixteen hundred and fifty dollars!!!

if price were no matter, i think i would buy it. but the almost as awesome dress in nashua being only $700 kind of sways me in that direction. that dress is a lot fancier though, and less like it sprang from some mythological matrimonial ocean wave like aphrodite. le sigh.

anyway. so i'm all conflicted and expect to remain so until e$ gets her cute little bum up to nashua this weekend to try on some stuff up here with me and give me a much-needed reality check.

and now those 2 beers i had with dinner are really getting to me. bedtime, off to dream of silk shantung rippling down in a cascade like ribbons of butterscotch pudding. ooh.
