more decisionmaking
i've been on a roll.
so, 2 out of the 3 bridesmaids have responded to my query about whether this dress will do, since this jim hjelm happened to be just about the only one my mom and i both liked:

and in that color, with the grey sash (i mean in lagoon, with a praline sash. now i'm hungry). props to e$ for introducing me to JH during the seach for her bridesmaid dresses.
anyway, then i also browsed for some floral ideas, since apparently not everything grows in the ground at the same time of year. i timidly mentioned freesias and ranunculus, and though kz overhead and said, 'what? freezers are ridonculous?,' apparently i had chosen wisely, because the memmies seemed to agree. and had the idea of forget-me-nots to put the "blue" into the equation. i found a site online where you can order by the bunch and put together your own arrangements. which i figure any fool could do with some scotch tape and rubber bands, but i think i'd better let a pro (the memmies) handle it. if anyone could make a gorgeous array of blooms look lopsided and contrived, it would be me.
so, things are really on a roll. we also have centerpieces, thanks to the memmies, again:

they are big plaster-cast sea-like objects. and greyish glass goblets to hold some flowers:

next on the list is to get my ears pierced, so that by the time may rolls around i'll be able to wear some earrings if it turns out that would go with whatever the hell i decide to do with my hair. either something simple and down with a side part, with perhaps some tiny flowers in place of a tiara (puke):

or some crazy, intricate yet elegant updo, which i am always in favor of:

but then there's always that middle of the road compromise, the half updo (again, nix that tiara and sprinkle in a tight band of baby roses):

and then i might still be able to do a veil.
ok, i'm spent. more some other time.

i would just like to say: spend the money to have a trial run of your hair done before hand... that way you don't go in with a loose-messy-curl pic on the day of your wedding and say "i want this" but end up a bunch of large, tight, spirals and not have time to fix it or even get your make-up done. i swear.
