beefcake!

so everybody wants to be a little trimmer on their wedding day. i, personally, have been worried about my ever-growing tush fitting into my gown, which i hadn't tried on since august. funny thing, though; through all the healthy eating and working out since then, i neglected to consider the effect of lifting weights on my physique. i sort of forgot that ever since all those years of crew, my lats bulk up all svetlana-on-steroids like at the drop of a hat. so, i intelligently faced my tubby rump fears while kz was out of town (bad idea #1) and tried on my wedding gown alone and after a hearty dinner (bad idea #2).

yeah so i didn't fit. amusingly, my tush has nothing to do with it; that's just fine. the last few inches of the zipper won't go up over my stacked back. and i cried.

so i have my alterations appointment next week; i had been hoping to get out of it with something left in my bank account but this new development sort of shoots that all to hell. i've halted all back-lifting exercises until the wedding and plowed through some girl scout cookies in my dismay. i just hope it can be fixed relatively easily and without major reconstruction.

note to self: bulking up and slimming down - not in the same category.
